When I die, I refuse to be put out on display. Nor do I want my remains to be trapped in a box that will only contaminate the earth. I want to be cremated immediately. I want my remains to be stored in a clay or ceramic pot, no metal. If I die while my parents are still alive, then I want them to be in charge of my remains. If I die after they have both passed on, then I want either my significant other, or one of my two best friends Ann or Lex, to be in charge of my remains. I want my family and the people closest to me to go to Greece. I want them to see and experience a few of the things that made me truly happy- writing in my journal at the base of the Acropolis in Athens, sitting on a pebble beach on Santorini with my feet in the water, and visiting the ancient ruins at Olympia and Mycenae. I want them to have a new experience because of me, with me but without me. After they have traveled around Greece, I want them to take a ferry to Crete. On the way to Crete, I want my remains to be scattered over the Mediterranean Sea. Then I want my Aunt Valerie to speak because I know that she will be honest. When all is said and done, I want everyone to enjoy a nice traditional Greek meal- bread with tzatziki, gemista, lamb, and endless amounts of wine. If possible, I want them to play the Eagles, Sting, and traditional Greek music.
