Write a short, one act play about a short, random conversation that you have with someone. It should include a few sentences at the beginning to set the scene and mood and should include roughly 5-10 lines of dialogue. Be sure to give it a title as well. The play could be about a conversation with a family member, friend, coworker or complete stranger, but the play should recapture a recent spontaneous conversation. You should not have a conversation with someone just to write the play. Choose any short, recent conversation that struck you as odd at the time. Upload your play as a .doc or .txt document.

Example:
"But Why?," A Monday Afternoon Play in One Act:
Monday afternoon in a communal office for graduate students. Amanda sits at the computer; a haunting country tune plays from the computer's speakers. Ted, another grad, enters.
TED: Hey Amanda. What are you listening to? Is that...Waylon Jennings?
AMANDA: Yup. It's 'Goodhearted Woman' by Waylon Jennings.
TED: (Momentarily befuddled.) Umm, oh, I see, you're doing some kind of ethnomusicology paper, right?
AMANDA: Nope. I'm just listening to it 'cause I like it.
TED: (Plaintively) But why??
