jars full of leaves suspended in bare trees seemed quite beautiful to me, and though an unusual warm spell prolonged the season in New England this year, a few of us have set about to help the fall along as best we can.
the activity has largely been centered in trees and libraries and bookstores in Western, MA, but a few brave friends have also undertaken the fight for autumn in New Orleans and Arcata, CA. we have also documented leaf shadows and outlines and imprints and are happier for it.
after a few weeks, the jars have remained untouched and - i quietly hope - admired or enjoyed for even just the smallest moment.
