Ben:
Making a field recording was great. The people we met were, almost without exception, polite and obliging, even when they declined our offer. Early on, rejections were common, but we soon developed an eye for who did and didn't want to be recorded. During the second half of the excursion, we met dozens of fun and interesting people.
Caitlin:
After completing this assignment I wonder why I have never talked to random people on the street. In doing so, I met a lot of different and interesting people who could speak different languages, and just normal people working at hotdog stands. I saw parts of Portland that I will definately now see again. I met people I will also hopefully see again.
