I was riding my bike along a very narrow path behind my grandmother's house. I bumped against the grass-line then swerved left, rubbing my handle grip and my left pinkie finger along a rough brick wall. My finger bled and bled. A few weeks later I had a perfect heart-shaped scar. More than twenty years later, it's still there, but now it sits next to my wedding ring.
