This scar does not look like much now, it is only a few inches long. Way back in the 1970's when I was a small kid this was a slash that went from the side of my knee up to almost the very top of the hip. Of course the slash healed quite well and as I got older I noticed that the scar got lighter and smaller. The scar moved upward on my skin as I grew. This scar is dedicated to my mom's 1965 Baby Blue Ford Galaxy 500 passenger car door. For a kid, this was a big door to open, close and most importantly to be able to get out of its way when it slams shut. One time I could not get out of the way. Rip! This was a big event for me... kind of like how big the scar used to be on my leg. Now the scar is so tiny in comparison, and today it is a small representation of a clumsy childhood memory.
