I dream of a country where the government is an administrative board, not hands on controller of programs and people. A country where people understand itŐs up to them to make change, not elected (or self-appointed) officials. A government that supports grassroots policy making based on education and research, not common fears and misconceptions. Under this government, creative, unique optimists would be rejoiced, not considered ignorant by those who are too jaded to see that one idea, one group of dedicated people, one dream can change the world (in fact, itŐs the only thing that ever has). This government would understand that supporting and funding preventative programs is much more cost effective and beneficial than reactionary approaches to social problems. This government would honour the basis of family and not just say they do. They would support parents in a means that puts to practise "a whole village raises a child." It would be a government that understands money runs the world, but know that there are much more important things. Yes, I dream.
