Group Soaked by Iced Tea Mid-Dinner

Albuquerque, NM-Late Saturday evening, Katy Barnes and friends, Elisa Verne, Jennifer Keith and Felicia Carter witnessed quite a crisis in the middle of their otherwise pleasant dinner at Olive Garden. Shortly after waiter, Joseph, whose last name was not disclosed, took the womens' drink orders. The group of four talked about current events, namely, Verne's new boyfriend, Ingrid Michaelson's latest single, and various happenings of the day. Interrupting a story about Keith's parents, Joseph arrived with the group's drinks. After passing out three of the drinks, Joseph reached for Carter's iced tea and accidentally knocked the glass onto Banes. The drink reached all corners of the booth, splashing all persons present but soaking Barnes.
In an effort to eliminate the strong smell of iced tea, Barnes and Keith utilized the facility's family bathroom and washed Barnes pants in the sink. Having no hand dryers, they attempted to dry the pants with paper towels and excessive shaking of the jeans.
The pants remained extremely wet, Barnes remembered later that she had her Halloween dress, a thrift store find, in her car and Verne accompanied her to her vehicle where she changed. Joseph was extremely apologetic however, he failed to offer the group a discount or free item from the dessert menu.
