advice to Lauren Volkes at age 16
1-Do not be so sad, your life is good, you have parents that love you and a brother that loves you too. You are not the victim you think you are.
2- Stop dating donovan, he is not good to you, he is abusive and is only using you to make himself feel powerful. He will hurt you and you will take it. Stop before you get your heart broken and have to endure years of therapy
3- Stop caring so much about what everyone else thinks. You are the only one who knows you fully, stop letting your small circle of friends determine everything about you.
4-stop smoking ciggerettes, but enjoy a clove once in a while because you want one ever again in a few years
5- stop telling people that the scars on your wrist are from the dog.
