Advice to Jael Navas at 13
1. Don't switch schools three times in one year. Just because no one is talking to you doesn't mean you are absolutely alone. You will make friends that you will never lose outside of school.
2. Don't smoke that second cigarette on the rooftop outside of your room, it will cause a horrible, unhealthy habit that you still have till this day.
3. Please don't cut yourself because you will have scars and people will ask you about them and it feels socially awkward to tell people you where numb at 13 so you had to feel something.
4. Tell someone about __________ raping you! It only hurts keeping it a secret and it will ruin all of your relationships in the future and it will ruin your outlook on men. You are not a victim, it wasn't your fault, you were a kid.
5. Don't dye your hair and wear 'weird' clothes to not get noticed, it only makes teachers question your motives and think you're a bad kid.
6. Don't fight so much with Mom and Dad, what they are going through has nothing to do with you and when you are broke and homeless in your early twenties they help you out so much that you hate yourself for ever yelling at them.
