To Jarrett on, 2 months after your 20th birthday
20 is going to be bad, probably the worst year of your life. The last two months have been very good, and while there are definitely things you can get out of moving back to Rochester, wait until there's nothing left for you in Philadelphia. Anything to change the path you are on is a good thing. If you don't heed this warning you will give yourself a lifelong injury just before school opens again, and in late winter quarter you'll total your car. Then you'll realize you've never had a best friend nor been anybody's best friend, and you'll forget that you have any friends at all. If you don't change the path you are on, at least try to find a way to retain the mindset you've had for the last two months, THERE'S ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOMETHING ON YOUR MIND, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE PLEASANT.
