1. for the love of god, do not introduce your mother to livejournal.
2. do not get involved with R after your breakup with C. do not keep accepting his phone calls and do not keep trying to make it work. it won't. don't sneak around with him because you will be caught and get in lots of trouble. additionally, don't carry on with him after the FIRST time you get in huge trouble, because your sixteenth birthday party will be cancelled. you'll also end up attached to him and he you long after you "break up", which will bug his fiancée.
3. do not work at wavus. it will at first seem like a good idea to accept the H's money, but you'll feel indebted to A forever. you'll enjoy the experience very much and expect it to happen again next summer, but the sessions will be cancelled, and you'll feel purposeless and end up being a housekeeper all summer.
4. DO NOT PURSUE I. you will win his heart and lose your virginity to him after less than four months of dating, but he will severely, severely, severely break your heart less than four months later. after blaming you for your breakup and treating you like dirt for the month afterward, he will start to act nicer and get your hopes up only to come out of the closet after having had sex with his best friend R. you will at first feel better but then struggle with it for months after.
5. let go of hating E. she doesn't matter at all to you or your life anymore, so forget about her.
6. do not think for one minute that you'll be able to tame J. don't agree to any of his offers and don't sneak out with A to go to his house. you'll make your parents feel betrayed again and your friendship with J will be ruined forever.
7. forgive yourself, please, because it isn't all your fault.
