Me: Uhh...Hello?

Her: Julie?

Me: Yeah, hi. How did you get my number?

Her: I actually umm stole it from your brother's phone a couple years ago. I thought I would call you before now, but obviously...

Me: Oh. Okay. Well hey. What's up?

Her: Um, you know that facebook message you left me the other day?

Me: Uhh...the one when I was completely stoned?

Her: Yeah. Oh, you were?

Me: Yeah, sorry...That's...Um, really embarrassing.

Her: No, no, it's cool.

Me: Okay.

Her: Yeah, no, yeah. Um.

Me: Haha.

Her: Yeah, so. I was just thinking about that whole thing. It was so long ago. You were a freshman...Damn.

Me: Yeah. Another world.

Her: Totally. Um, and you know I was a senior and your brother's friend and everything.

Me: Yeah definitely. And you totally crushed him, yeah?

Her: Well, um. Okay, here's the thing. I've been thinking.

Me: (trying to keep my voice level) uh-huh.

Her: And um, okay. So. When it became really, um, obvious that you were totally into me, I got kind of scared.

Me: Naturally.

Her: Yeah, right? Anyway, um, look, I know I'm going into my junior year of college. And you're going to be a senior in high school. But hey yeah I've been thinking, and I like you too. A lot.

Me: Dude, we haven't seen each other in two years...

Her: No, I know. I know I know I know. But I haven't dated anyone since I first figured out you liked me because really...No one can compare to you. Everyone else looks, uh, not appealing. Like that Moldy Peaches song?

Me: Oh god...Really?

Her: Really. And way before Juno came out.

Me: haha. You know, I've never forgotten about you. You're so talented. I really think you're going to make it big in London.

Her: Really? No way.

Me: No, I'm not kidding. You made me and Chris Osborn cry during West Side Story.

Her: Shut up.

Me: I'm serious. You'll be better than Broadway.

Her: Julie, shut up. Tell me you still love me.

Me: Hey! Woah, okay. Umm you're in college. Plus I've already done the long distance thing.

Her: Okay. So let's just...Let's hang out. I need to see you. I've wanted to say this for so long.

Me: Seriously? How long?

Her: I don't know, a while. A year.

Me: Shit! Okay. Hi. Do you want to go see Matt in High School Musical?

Her: Fuck no. I love him, but that's just embarrassing.

Me: I know...God. He told me the other night he's going to be in Company when that's over, though.

Her: Company? Seriously?

Me: Yeah. I'm really proud of him.

Her: Me too. ...What the fuck. Okay. You. I want to take you to Mt. Tabor park.

Me: What's there?

Her: Me, a picnic, trees, and music.

Me: Okay. Alright. Okay. Really?

Her: Yeah. Yeah, really. Can we go tomorrow?

Me: Uh, okay. Sure. Do you have a car?

Her: No, I actually have a moped that we can both fit on.

Me: Wow. Wow. What time should I expect you?

Her: 11:30.

Me: I'm really excited.

Her: Me too.

Me: Good night.

Her: Good night.
