Her: Hey SB!
Me: Howdy Maam, how are ya?
Her: Well, I'm not too bad, sitting at Starbucks.
Me: Well that sounds fun, is it snowing?
Her: Yeah, a little, it's really pretty. You should come visit right now.
Me: Well, probably. Only 10 hour drive, in the truck.
Her: Well, maybe.
Me: I did promise though, and it might help me stop missing that home, but I don't really wanna see you, so much, just joking.
Her: Well, I miss you anyway.
Me: I miss you too HM.
Me: I really appreciated the letter you sent me, it meant a lot.
Her: You're welcome, I'm really glad you liked it.
Me: I always do.
Her: I got yours too, yesterday, it was pretty sweet I guess. It was nice, thanks.
Me: Yeah, well. I do what I can.
Her: What did you what to talk about?
Her: The letter, you said you wanted to talk to about something sometime.
Me: It, maybe, well, yes.
Her: Haha, ok.
Me: Yeah. Hmmm.
Her: Well, um, we could talk about it, I mean, if you want to.
Me: Yeah, I do. I just am a little girl sometimes, haha.
Her: Well then, maybe you should just say it. If you want to.
Me: Yeah, that'd probably be best. Haha.
Her: I'm all ears.
Me: Okay, well you know how much I value you as a friend, and you really are one of my best friends, and favorite people in the world, right?
Her: Yes, this is true, I suppose.
Me: I don't know how to say this, and I hate to say it over the phone, this is definitely more of a face conversation, but seeing as that ain't gonna happen. I reckon I better spit it out.
Me: Um, I want to tell you this and see what you think, because I know that the risk of telling you is worth it, and I know you are above letting it come between us.
Me: I think you are the most incredible person I know and I am completely and totally intimidated by you, in an awesome way. But, I want you to know how much I care about you and respect you and honestly want what is best for you.
Me: HM, I care about you a lot more than you think I do, and I don't know how you feel but I really wish I could explain it.
Me: I would love to get the chance to talk to you more, on a deeper level, get to know each other better than we already do, I like you a lot and I guess what I am saying, with a risk, is that I want to talk and stuff. I like you a lot. I don't know how you feel, but I wanted you to know.
Her: Wow. I am surprised.
Me: Really? I figured though.
Her: Yeah. SB, you're one of my favorites, you have such a huge heart for people.
Her: I wish I could explain to you how much it means to me that you had the nerve to come and talk to me about this. It is really humbling. I mean, really. Thanks.
Me: Um, you're welcome I guess.
Her: I respect you a lot more than you think, and I think that I would love to talk to you more. About life, God, home, love, people, and living. Like a lot.
Me: Yeah... That would be pretty um, great.
Me: Thanks for listening.
Her: If you think I wouldn't, then you are crazy.
Me: Well, I am, so.
Her: Thanks for being honest with me, I hope you know that's good. Haha.
Me: Well, you know.
Her: So, are you excited to move back to Durango this summer?
Me: Are you kidding? It's where my heart has been all semester. So yes, the answer is yes.
Her: Well good, haha, my little brother Steve just emailed me a really funny joke.
