Don't bury me. Don't cremate me. I don't want to take up the space. I don't want to burden any future generations of people and animals with my presence. I don't want to be responsible for a 6x6x4 plot of dead space in the earth. I don't want anyone to ever have to lug around--or even look at--a creepy, dusty urn because of me.
When I die, make my body of use to someone.
Sign me up for a program that allows me to be both an organ donor and a medical school/university donation. Donate any and all acceptable organs, then give the remainder of my body to a reputable university or medical school. And, if at all possible, I would like it to be given to a school with a medical illustration program. That way, I would be contributing to art (and, of course, the field of medicine) even in death.
Or, another way to go would be the Body Worlds tour. I adore the idea of having my body or some of my body in the tour. If there is any possibility of making that actually happen, then that is what I want, hands down. This is another way in which I would contribute to both art and science, except that I would Be the art. I like that.
