Upon my death, I would like for my loved ones to celebrate the life that I made an effort to not take seriously. I do not want anyone in an uber state of mourning, but I have made a request that the song, "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" be played at some point during the service. If the attendees of my funeral could, it would be awesome for those willing to give some sort of testimony of their favorite, wildest, most memorable Miranda moment of me.
I would like a procession to the nearest outlet of the ocean, where a wooden, preferably hand crafted raft (perhaps with some signature pink ribbon or banners) will have been prepared for my body. It should be set on fire and released into the great unknown in a traditional Viking type ambience. I'd like for this to take place at a time of day when the sun is just going down, so the smoke can hang in a haze, intertwining in the rays of the changing sunlight. Flowers in their entirety or just petals should be tossed into the shallows of the water in a sign of grievance and in letting me go. I would not be opposed to the use of a spectacular firework display, in celebration of a life that my loved ones shared with me.
