if i am survived by t. and/or others who love me, do whatever will make my death easiest on them. if my consciousness ends with death, i won't care. if my soul or some other form of consciousness survives death, it will be more concerned with those i left behind than with the piece of meat it used to inhabit. i want people to mourn me, or not, as they please.
if i outlive my loved ones or if my loved ones would prefer to know my wishes, all other things being equal, i don't want to become landfill cluttering up the earth. i'd want to be cremated, with my ashes dumped somewhere where they will be recycled into the ecosystem. no funeral, no fancy urn, no coffin, no ceremony or drama over the spreading of the ashes. keep it as simple, cheap, and environmentally sustainable as possible. there's no use making a fuss. as i said, i'll either be unable to care or else i'll be beyond caring.
if there is some kind of afterlife, i expect that it will be engaging enough that i won't be sitting around worrying about my body and the other material objects that occupied me in this life.
