what I want my family to do with my body when it dies.
I think all I want them to do is cremate it right after I die. get rid of the body as soon as possible. embalming and "showing" a body at a funeral home is actually quite creepy. no funeral, no memorial service. no people gathered 'round. I don't want my death to be a "good" excuse for a social occasion, where friends reunite after having not seen each other for years, when all they really were was lazy. I would like to be lain in solitude, a nice reflection of the rest of my life. I would like my ashes to be placed in a dark wooden box, a dark wooden cube actually. something rather like a good solid chopping block. then, I would like it to be buried in a nice field, and hopefully have lots of wild flowers sprout up on top of me. I would also like to have only two people bury me. my parents. that's it.
