This painting (in three parts) hung near the front door in our living room through most of my childhood. It became a habit to try and put the three parts together in my head whenever I walked past it. My world was shattered two weeks ago when I realized that on the staff paper in the painting, the treble clef is in G major but the bass clef is in a key that doesn't exist. Since then I can't look at this painting. |
