1. "Thriller" hits #1 on the charts. My sister and I dance to the LP every night after dinner.
2. My parents vote to re-elect Reagan and Bush Sr. They win. I spend the following 22 years of my life disappointed.
3. Apple's Macintosh is introduced to the world. Two years later, when I am in 1st grade, Apple donates computers to my West Seattle elementary school. I make drawings out of carefully plotted type rather than play with the gerbils, hamster or robots during "science time".
4. Hulk Hogan wins the WWF championship. Today, I watch his reality TV show while flipping through channels at work. I am glad I never bought the lunch box.
5. I play Barbies with my younger sister Angela. She starts taking off their heads. She learns how to irritate me. I learn I really was better off as an only child.
