1. I have my first boyfriend. He does a breakdancing routine that includes the moon walk for the school talent show, complete with a red, multi-zippered, Michael Jackson inspired jacket. I fall hard.
2. My best friend Melissa and I spend hours recording music from the radio - waiting for the DJ to play our favorite Madonna, LL Cool J and Chaka Khan songs - and then record ourselves singing the songs over the radio versions. I know every word to "I Need Love."
3. Apple's now classic "1984" ad promoting the Mac personal computer airs during the Super Bowl.
4. I have my first experience with peer pressure and steal Now and Laters from 7-11. I suppress the feelings of guilt by eating the entire package at once.
5. Dance fever hits after we all see "Footloose" and "Breakin'" at a double feature at the Fontana drive-in.
