1. Buy a copy of the U.S. Army Survival Manual. Read the section on 'Survival Stresses' for the topic of LONELINESS in CHAPTER 1: THE WILL TO SURVIVE.
2. Listen to the song, "Bell Bottom Blues" by Derek and the Dominos. Sing along to the chorus, and know that you are speaking to someone, and those dudes in the band are right behind you.
3. Tell someone you need a hug, but make sure you know the person by name and you are on good speaking terms.
4. Go outside and look up at the sky. Imagine the world is spinning gradually along. If there are clouds, you can use them to help your imagination (IE: watch the clouds moving above you and imagine it is you that is moving, not the clouds). Breath deeply and slowly. WARNING: this step can be difficult for beginners, and is only advisable for more experienced loners who understand the sublime affect of feeling small in an infinite universe.
If methods 1 through 4 do no prove useful, call me. I always have my phone on for the people who need me.
