Step 1: Engage into conversation.
Step 2: Make eye contact.
Step 3: Feel awkward.
Step 4: Ever so slightly begin to cross your eyes just enough to make everything appear blurry, while actually NOT crossing your eyes.
Step 5: Convince yourself that if you cannot see their eyes, they cannot see yours.
If this does not work;
a) invest into a dark pair of glasses
b) only come out at night.
c) or drink a lot.
PS: Staring in between their eyes does not work.
