"How to get rid of a verruca."

My mom taught me this mysterious way to get rid of a verruca i had on my finger when i was about 12.
1. Get a piece of fibre and wrap it around the part of the body with the verruca (f.e. finger)
2. Get a spoon (best is silver) and rub it agains the verruca.
3. Go outside and dig a hole in the ground using the same spoon
4. Bury the fibre inside the hole.
5. After 3 days the verruca should be gone.
(Unfortunately i misunderstood my mom and burried the spoon instead of the fibre, it took 2 days more but the varruca did disapear)
