Me: Can I talk to you for a minute?
					Shea: Yeah, let's go outside.
					Me: What's wrong?
Shea: Nothing, you just hurt my feelings.
Me: When I said that about the money?
Shea: Yeah, and right in front of everybody.
Me: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. It was just building from earlier tonight, you asked to borrow that money, and then I found out we'd be playing poker for real money, which I didn't want to do. Then for you to use all the money I lent to you for poker...
Shea: I don't understand...if you didn't want to lend me the money you didn't have to. You know I'm going to pay you back tomorrow. And it's poker, it's a good time.
Me: I know. I know you're going to pay me back, and I didn't mind lending you the money. I feel badly, because I really had no reason to get upset in the first place...I told you I'd lend you the money and you're always good about paying me back. And I know you've got your debts and everything right now that you're trying to get caught up on.
Shea: I'm trying to be more responsible about money, I think I've gotten more responsible about it. I don't think I spend it frivolously, like on stupid stuff.
					Me: You don't. I'm sorry.
Shea: Well, when you said that, and in front of them, it made me feel like shit.
					Me: I'm sorry.
					(Pause)
Me: Do you see where I'm coming from, though?
					Shea: Yeah...I guess.
					(Pause)
Shea: Should we go back inside?
					(Pause)
					Me: Let's go back inside.
