I pick up the phone.
Mom: Where are you?
Me: I'm almost at the station.
Mom: Bijan's taking you?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: We're on Main Street. Wait at the station. We'll come give you the car.
Me: No, I'm taking the train. What time is it?
Mom: 5:33. Beeyah bah Daddy harf bezan. [translation: Come talk to Dad.]
Dad: Wait for us. We're coming to give you the car.
Me: No, I'm taking the train now.
Dad: Why?
Me: Because that's what I've decided. Now I'm all set to take the train.
Dad: Why? It's Sunday. There's no traffic. You'll get there in time. I want you to be comfortable on your way back. Tell Bijan to take you to the station and wait for us. We'll come give you the car.
Me: Where are you?
Dad: By Idin's house.
Me: I don't know where Idin lives.
Dad: Thomaston.
Me: Fine. At the main part of the station?
Dad: Yeah.
I hang up.
Bijan and I arrive at the station.
Me: I don't have my CD. I spent hours making that CD. There's no point in taking the car now. I'm getting on the train. It's so annoying how they try to force me to do things. Tell them I left.
Bijan: Don't get mad at me honey.
I step out of the car and make my way towards the station. My parents arrive and start honking like crazy. I go down the stairs to the train. My dad calls me.
Dad: What happened? Come take the car.
Me: No, I'm taking the train.
Dad: Why?
Me: Because that's what I've decided and that's what I'm going to do. I spent hours making this CD and now I don't have it. I'm taking the train.
Dad: Fine. Whatever makes you happy.
