[Jim is making breakfast, I am tossing an orange]
Jim: Are you gonna play baseball with that orange or are you going to eat it?
[I make a face and continues to toss orange]
Jim: Sweetie- I'm serious. That's FRUIT. And if you're gonna eat it fine, but don't toss it around. You're going to ruin it.
PAUSE
Me: Jim you didn't make any extra coffee....
Jim: I made extra coffee yesterday and you didn't even drink it.
Me: But I just like having the option.
Jim: Well here's some extra coffee for you- it's called make another pot of coffee if you want more.
PAUSE
Jim: [panicked] Where's the paper bag?!!! [He catches sight of it, balled up in the recycling bin. Then he gives me a look. A real look.]
