when I was 15 I was dating a boy, he was a mean boy who wanted to keep our relationship a secret. I was dumb, passive and depressed and I let this boy control everything I did. I had no friends outside of him and I suffered abuse from him for 4 years. This boy was a chain smoker and when he would get mad he would burn holes in things with the ends of his ciggerettes. One day I was the thing he burned a hole in. This scar has changed color but has remained pink for that past 2 years. It is an awful reminder of how dumb I was to put up with all of that abuse, but also a reminder of how much stronger I am now.
