My scar is a little hard to see in bright sunlight. It is on the left side of my wrist below my hand. I received this one in a fight helping out a friend. I would not say it was a knife fight because only one person had a knife and it obviously wasn't me. I seem to have a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time.
I was going to another friend's apartment one afternoon and as I rounded the corner of one of the apartment buildings ( I was taking a short cut) I walked into what I at first thought was four people fighting. I soon realized that it was not four people fighting, but one person being jumped by three other guys. As I stepped in to help this poor bastard I very quickly realized that the person being beaten was a good friend of mine. Needless to say I dove into the fray to help out and even the odds a bit. My help turned the tide in our favor, however the last remaining thug didn't seem to like the fact that I had helped kick his friends ass so he pulled a knife on me. I managed to dodge the first two slashes and the third caught my wrist as I was trying to dodge it. Better to be cut on the wrist than stabbed in the gut I would say. While dodging the knife I was maneuvering closer to a fire extinguisher that was on the wall. At the same time I was cut, I grabbed the extinguisher and planted it on the side of this idiot thug's head. As you can image he dropped like someone had flipped his off switch. Now that the excitement was over I learned that my buddy was being mugged and to his credit he decided to fight instead of just give in. If not for me he probably would have been in worse shape or dead. I am happy to say that the police were called and the unconscious thug was taken to jail. He later turned in his three accomplices and they all did some jail time. Honor among thieves right?!? HA!
