In the summer of 1996, I went to British Columbia for a snowboarding trip to a snowboard camp. The camp was on a glacier atop of Backcomb Mt. I was supposed to be there for about a week. AT the end of the third day I was riding down to the chair lift (that took us down the mountain) I ran off the trail and I hit a rock. I ended up getting a helicopter ride off the mountain, and taken to the local emergency room type place. They took ex-rays and said I had broken ribs. They released me and an hour later I passed out in a grocery store. I was taken to Lions Gate hospital in Vancouver; I had a ruptured spleen and had to have it removed. I spent about 2 weeks in the hospital and about 2 more in a hotel before I could fly home.
