I got this scar on my right hand over the summer of 2006. I was visiting family at a beach house with my best friend, Jen. She and I were getting ready for bed and there was a streetlight right outside our window and the light was really bright and obnoxious. I reached up and tried to pull the cord for the blinds so that they would close. I couldn't get it to work so Jen reached across and pulled hard on the cord. When she pulled the entire curtain rod came down and landed on my hand. It was pretty gross and it hurt a lot the next day but I couldn't stop laughing. Jen got me some ice and a band aid and we had a good laugh about the whole thing. I will always have reminder of that trip and the ridiculousness that happens when Jen and I hang out on my hand.
