I got this scar when I was five years old. I was running around my Great Grandmother's house, playing some imaginary game that I no longer remember. I tripped on something and fell into the metal corner of her coffee table. All I remember after that was my mom holding a cloth on my head and then a doctor telling me to read the numbers on the hospital wrist band that they had given me and thinking, "Why do you need me to read these numbers?! What does this have to do with sewing my head up??" But I think all I did was scream.
I have been told that I am really lucky that I didn't loose my eye, and that "it came so close". Maybe that's why I appreciate being able to see as much as I do.
