This is a picture of a couple of scars that I have on my left thigh. I have matching ones on my right thigh. I grew up with a childhood bone disease; this disease is called "Legg-calve - perthese disease" this causes the head of the hips to deteriorate. I had half a dozen surgeries ending with complete bilateral total hip replacements in my left and right hips. I can't tell you exactly which surgery belongs to each scar because they were reused. But within this scar lies a very important life changing titanium hip ball and socket, without it I would probably be spending my life constantly in pain and in a wheel chair. I thank god every day for this scar and its friends!
