I got this scar when I fell off of a golf cart while working at a summer camp. I was sitting on the seat and not holding on. The driver took a sharp left turn without any warning. The golf cart went left and I fell off to the right. My entire right side was torn up including my face. All of the kids at camp thought I had been attacked by an owl or a bear. The story got turned around and my wounds were used as a visual reminder for campers to wear closed-toe shoes instead of sandals. The driver felt really bad about the entire thing. The night after it happened he bought me Crest kids toothpaste to cheer me up. It's been over four years and I still have this scar on my thigh. Sometimes when I touch the scar I can taste gravel in my mouth.
