This scar was earned by my boyfriend this past summer of 2005. He was trying to keep up with and impress my 52-year-old dad on the boogie board. He was determined to ride the waves all the way in like my dear old dad did every time. I told him if he was getting clobbered by a wave to just let go of the board, but his pride held on as he flipped through a wave. When he got up he had this gash and burn on his belly from the board.
