"Waking up on the wrong side of the bed" is how I describe the acquisition of this scar.
Rolling out of my bed in my usual fashion, I was a little higher up then I usually lay and thus ended up rolling my left shin into the edge of my bedside table.
It was one of those you-know-your-going-to-hurt-yourself-but-the-momentum-is-already-mounting-and-you-just go-through-the-motion-until it's-over-and-you-let-out-a-yelp-and-survey-the-damage situations.
[Ever notice how a scar heals less smoothly as you grow older?]
