The Story Behind the Scar: Last year, school was only a half day on the day we all got out for Easter Break, and because I would be at home for a few extra hours, my mother asked me to walk the dog. This was before I had my own cell phone, so I had to borrow my dad's. I was walking in a field when I reached down to check the cell phone to find out the time when I realized it wasn't there. It had slipped out of my pocket while I was walking.
I went back to the house to get my dad, and we walked back to the field together. While we were retracing my steps, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, and I got a cut on the back of my leg from a clump of barbed wire hidden in the grass. It didn't seem too big or deep, so I continued searching for the phone.
With the help of my other family members, we did eventually find the cell phone. Seven months have passed, but the scar hasn't gone away. I guess it's permanent.
